Twenty star chefs gathered with Food Network star Cat Cora of Bon Appetit magazine and our merry Mayor of Mirth Oscar Goodman to celebrate -- with champagne, of course -- the upcoming culinary extravaganza Vegas Uncork’d.

The Bon Appetit food festival is here May 7-10 and celebrates Las Vegas’ fine dining scene that now rivals that of any major metropolitan city in the world.

At the Dinner in the Sky table high above the Strip were Paul Bartolotta and Alex Stratta (Wynn), Hubert Keller and Rick Moonen (Mandalay Bay), Michael Mina (MGM Grand and Bellagio), Carla Pellegrino and Francois Payard (Caesars Palace) and Kerry Simon (Palms Place and Luxor).

The 2009 event will be anchored at MGM hotels, Caesars Palace and Wynn/Encore and is co-sponsored by our Greenspun Media Group and Southern Wine & Spirits. Highlights include a poolside Grand Tasting with 75 celebrated chefs and the Masters Series of dinners with internationally acclaimed chefs including Bobby Flay and Joel Robuchon, who is adding in the cast of Ka for a special performance in the dining room at MGM!
