Three of the hottest celebrity bashes on the Strip featured Pete Wentz and wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz at Pure, the mysteriously married or unmarried Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt of MTV’s The Hills at Christian Audigier and the Kardashian sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney at LAX.
Ringing in 2009 in ultimate Sin City style was Pure, where a slew of celebrities kicked off their New Year’s Eve. Rocking the red carpet first at the mega-club were Montag and Pratt, who later hosted the festivities at Christian Audigier in Treasure Island. Next to arrive were Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Robert Kardashian, who, joined by mother Kris Jenner, dazzled shutterbugs as they strutted their stuff before heading to LAX for the night. Pure’s hosts for the exhilarating evening, celebrity sweethearts and new parents Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz, were soon to follow, full of excitement for their first night on the town since the birth of baby boy Bronx Mowgli.

Once inside the club, the darling duo and a group of friends took to the main VIP stage and settled into the white leather VIP bed next to the DJ booth where DJ Hollywood spun a mesmerizing mix keeping clubgoers on their feet all night long. The anticipation throughout the whole club grew as it got closer and closer to midnight, when Ashlee and Pete took charge on the microphone and led Pure and all its partiers through the official countdown to 2009.
After spending the last few seconds of the year inside the main room of Sin City’s sexiest spot, the pair made their way to Pure’s famous terrace to lead a rooftop champagne toast under the bright lights of Las Vegas. After sharing a few passionate New Year’s kisses and feeding pieces of cake to each other, the twosome retreated back inside to their VIP table, where they drank Grey Goose cocktails and danced the night away.

At LAX at the Luxor, sexy sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian from E!’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians were joined by celebrity friends and family to ring in 2009. After dining on a special New Year’s Eve menu next door at Company American Bistro, the sizzling trio made a grand entrance into the two-story party haven with their large party, which included Kim’s boyfriend and New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, brother Robert Kardashian, mom Kris Jenner, stepfather and Olympian Bruce Jenner, socialite and model Brittny Gastineau, Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis, New Orleans Saints defensive end Bobby McCray, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Dante Stallworth and tight end Kellen Winslow Jr., as well as Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Rashad McCants.

Dancing to the sounds of DJ Casanova, the Kardashians and their entourage posed for photos, played with party favors and danced to some of their favorite songs of 2008 all night long. As the countdown to 2009 began, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe made their way to the top of the DJ booth, where they led the masses in a club-wide champagne toast complete with sparklers and a confetti drop. After celebrating and reminiscing about some of the many memorable moments of 2008 with her sisters, Kim headed straight over to Bush to get her special New Year’s Eve kiss. The three brunette beauties played great New Year’s Eve hosts as they brought their sass and class to LAX to ring in another sinsational year. Also making LAX her party spot of choice last night was 2008 Olympic silver medalist gymnast Alicia Sacramone.

Christian Audigier rang in 2009 with the most fashionable soiree hosted by The Hills couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. Joined by a small group of their closest friends, the reality duo took in the exhilarating scenes of the holiday festivities from a plush VIP table on the second tier of the boutique nightclub. Sipping on Dom Perignon champagne and enjoying chocolate-covered strawberries, the twosome took photos with fans before jumping on the mic for an exciting New Year’s countdown. With a magnum bottle of Dom Perignon in hand, the couple welcomed 2009 with a champagne toast and New Year’s kiss.

Keeping heads turning and hearts racing at the packed house, Montag and Pratt danced into the early morning. Earlier in the night, the couple dined upstairs at Social House. Sitting with a small party of pals in the beautiful Newspaper Room, the stars and their guests enjoyed yellowtail jalapeno, mini Kobe burgers and assorted sushi rolls and topped off dinner with the finest sake selections.
