Is Cher playing a cougar alongside a Jackass in her next film?

Oscar winner and Caesars Palace headliner Cher now looks set to make a film comeback, too! And her co-star is a real Jackass! My Fox News gossip pal Roger Friedman is up at the Sundance Film Festival and reported at the Spike Lee dinner for his new movie Passing Strange that all the insider talk was about Cher’s new movie plans.
Apparently, Cher is to star with Johnny Knoxville in The Drop Out written by producer Ricky Blitt of Family Guy, who teamed last with Johnny in 2005’s The Ringer. Roger says it’s believed that the Farrelly brothers, who produced Cher’s last film Stuck on You, will work on this new movie, too! Cher denied rumors late last year that she was going to star in the next Dark Knight sequel.
The Drop Out is a comedy about a lonely 62-year-old woman, played by Cher, who takes up with her 37-year-old whacked-out neighbor, and those just happen to be the ages of both Cher and Johnny! In fact, as Roger pointed out, Johnny was born in 1971 when Cher with then husband Sonny Bono were riding at the top of the TV ratings with their weekly comedy show. For the record, Johnny is two years younger than Cher’s daughter Chastity!
Internet sites are abuzz this morning with the new Cher news, but there’s no word as to when filming will begin. Or how Cher will protect herself from the crazy antics of her Jackass co-star. Meantime, she returns here to her Caesars Palace showroom Feb. 21 for a one-month run!
