Known as the world’s ultimate chef, Joel Robuchon once again won the highest Mobil Travel Guide Five-Star award yesterday for his celebrated restaurant at the MGM Grand. It was back in September 2005 when he opened his first fine dining eatery in America at the MGM Grand that he won for the first time here!

Since then, his restaurant has won rave reviews and received the Mobil Five-Star, Michelin Three-Star and AAA Five-Diamond awards, the top accolades for each of these organizations. Joel is one of only 20 Mobil Five-Star restaurant winners in 2009.

In addition, the private Skylofts at the MGM Grand won a Mobil Five-Star award for the first time. The elegant two-story accommodations within the MGM Grand feature environmental harmonizing design and extraordinary personalized service complete with spa, dream and even the world’s first music butlers!

“I am very proud of this accomplishment for Skylofts and Joel Robuchon,” said MGM Grand President Gamal Aziz. “Both were created to be among the finest offerings available, not just in Las Vegas but in the world.”

Mobil Travel Guide, originator of the prestigious Mobil Stars, has been providing comprehensive ratings and reviews of hotels, restaurants and spas in the United States and Canada since 1958. The organization also named MGM/Mirage’s Spa at the Bellagio as one of the 2009 Four-Star award winners.
