Morning Call Photo Exclusive: Supermodel Heidi Klum films Germany’s Next Top Model all over Las Vegas
By Robin Leach
Supermodel Heidi Klum successfully juggles a triple TV career while playing wife and mom -- and is as cool as a cucumber in the middle of all that chaos! The beautiful Victoria's Secret model and Project Runway personality is a superstar back in her home country of Germany, and her weekend of filming Germany’s Next Top Model was a case of the Fatherland coming to her rather than her flying to Frankfurt and Berlin.
One of Heidi’s location scenes was The Venetian. She took a gondola ride down the Grand Canal Shops and directed a fashion shoot in the resort’s lobby while the cameras rolled for her show.

The next day, she took over the Fashion Show mall runway as host and judge of Top Model, and hundreds of fans crowded to watch the 13 contestants who had been flown in from Europe! Our contributing photographers Erik Kabik and Scott Harrison were in the thick of the action for these exclusive photos.
Heidi wore an ultra-chic bejeweled black cardigan atop distress flair-leg jeans and gold stiletto shoes. Our local Dillard’s at Fashion Show outfitted the contestants for the two-hour shoot. Heidi, who is married to singer Seal, was accompanied by her co-hosts and judges Peyman Amin and Rolf Scheider. With more than $8 million in annual earnings just for her modeling, Heidi is the third-highest-paid model in the world, and Germany’s Next Top Model is the country’s top-rated reality show.

After the shoot, the superstar did what any woman would do on a weekend inside a mall: she found time to shop and returned to her Venetian suite loaded down with bags of gifts for her family and herself!
