Vegas Deluxe has told you previously that Motley Crue will bring the Hard Rock Hotel’s concert venue The Joint to an illustrious close Feb. 6 and 7. Then hometown heroes The Killers, who are currently on tour, reopen the all-new Joint on April 17 hard on the heels of their return from Australian and European dates.
Now, for the first time, we’re beginning to learn more about the new $60 million nightspot with these artist’s renderings.

The new Joint will hold 4,000 music fans and offer high rollers seven premiere VIP hospitality suites with an all-new sound and lighting system. The Montreal-based architecture and design firm Sceno Plus has designed the new look, which is double the size of the old venue -- and yet the farthest seat will be only 155 feet from the stage. On each side of the stage will be motorized 16-foot screens, plus a 24-foot center screen in addition to 38 flat screens throughout the venue powered by 18,000 lumens HD projectors.
Backstage, there will be four dressing rooms, a production office and a deluxe green room for music artists and a separate meet and greet room. And there will be two digi-design, 96-channel digital mixing boards and 25 relay speakers throughout the venue. The Joint has been designed so it can transform for boxing, wrestling and mixed martial arts events and red carpet movie premieres!
The original Joint opened in February 1995 and became the first rock ’n’ roll venue in Las Vegas. Now that its 15-year-run is coming to an end, bands and fans are eagerly awaiting the new Joint, which is part of the Hard Rock’s current $750 million expansion set for completion before the end of the year.

The expansion includes an additional 860 guest rooms, an all-suite 15-story south tower and a new 17-story north tower with 30,000 square feet of casino space. Several restaurants, a spa and a health club are being added, and the replacement nightclub for Body English will be opened on New Year’s Eve.
Still unconfirmed are rumors that a new pool club will open to complement Rehab and that it might well be clothing optional and tied to a cabaret men’s club.
