Three major rockers comprise the rockabilly group The Head Cat, and since their formation in 2000 to record an Elvis Presley tribute album (then as The Swing Cats), they’ve been making rare and occasional performances when their other band schedules permit it.

Vocalist Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, drummer Slim Jim Phantom of The Stray Cats and guitarist Danny Harvey of The Rockets and Lonesome Spurs make up the trio. They formed the group after playing old favorite songs by Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran after the Elvis session.

Their name came from combining the names Motorhead and The Stray Cats, and their first studio album, Fools Paradise, was released in 2006. Last weekend, Carey Hart brought the guys together for a special performance at his Wasted Space in the Hard Rock Hotel, and our contributing photographer Erik Kabik was front row stage center for these photos.
