Ex-Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day tipped for Peepshow in the fall

The producers of the hit Peepshow at Planet Hollywood confirmed late yesterday that they are in negotiations for former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day to take over the Peep Diva role this fall. Vegas DeLuxe broke the scoop yesterday when the news leaked out as Aubrey began planning to film a new reality TV series.

Aubrey wanted to film some of the series here in Las Vegas as she began preparations for Peepshow, and we learned of the Peepshow link! If she and her people haven’t jumped the gun and set the cat amongst the pigeons, then come late September, she’ll be the next 90-day rotating celebrity cast member, following Broadway veteran Shoshana Bean, who took over for Scary Spice Girl Mel B.

I’ll be chatting with Shoshana about her new life in Las Vegas over the weekend, and we’ll have that interview for you next week. Shoshana and her co-star Holly Madison started their contracts last week, and Holly is expected to stay on for a second 90-day period because of her boost to box office ticket sales. Holly goes topless in the burlesque show, and Aubrey has already told friends that she can’t wait to wear the sexiest outfits, boots and hot revealing lingerie in her role.

Meantime, the producers have created a special after-the-show, meet-and-greet opportunity with their star Holly, who has become the toast of the Strip since taking over the role of the ingénue a week ago. The VIP ticket upgrade is a $100 add on for Sunday through Thursday performances and includes a champagne toast with Holly, an autographed photo of the platinum blonde Playboy beauty and a photo with her.
