Vegas DeLuxe broke the exclusive story July 1. Then L.A. gossip writers followed, and finally yesterday, producers of Peepshow officially confirmed that former Danity Kane blonde bombshell Aubrey O’Day will open in Peepshow with Holly Madison on Sept. 14.

I’m reliably told that sultry siren Aubrey wants to wear even hotter, sexier outfits than Spice Girl Mel B wore when she originated the role and might go topless when she takes over the role. “She wants to be remembered as the sexiest girl to play the role and has no qualms about going topless in a couple of the flash scenes,” one of her associates told me.

Aubrey, who appeared in the hit Broadway production Hairspray, also was the March 2009 Playboy cover girl. She will take over as the mistress of ceremonies, the Peep Diva, which is currently played by Broadway star and recording artist Shoshana Bean. With a plan to feature rotating headliners every 90 days, Peepshow producers say it will constantly reinvent itself by bringing in today’s hottest stars.

Aubrey will perform alongside a sizzling topless ensemble of sexy beauties, all showstoppers from movies, TV, Broadway and beyond, who were handpicked to perform in the multi-million-dollar, naughty-night-out production that features hit and original songs.

“Aubrey is a talented and extremely gifted performer with Broadway, television and recording credits,” said BASE Entertainment producer Scott Zeiger. “Aubrey is one of the sexiest entertainers in the industry today, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the cast.”

Peepshow combines sexy striptease and celebrity with high-level production values. It was conceived and created by Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell of Broadway’s Legally Blonde and Hairspray and produced by Las Vegas-based BASE Entertainment, who also have Phantom -- Las Vegas Spectacular, Jersey Boys and Wayne Brady on the Strip.
