Las Vegas police officers are assisting Los Angeles detectives and Drug Enforcement Agency agents as of 10 a.m. today in executing search warrants on the home of Dr. Conrad Murray at the prestigious guard-gated Red Rock Country Club in Summerlin.

Dr. Murray is the Las Vegas-based physician who had signed on as Michael Jackson’s private physician for the This Is It 50-concert run at 02 Arena in London. Additional officers also are now stationed while searching Dr. Murray’s Global Cardiovascular Associates office also here in Las Vegas.

Yesterday, law enforcement officials in Los Angeles told The Associated Press and Fox News that Dr. Murray had given a dose of the surgery-only anesthesia Diprivan -- aka Propofol -- the night before Michael died after the King of Pop had returned home following rehearsals at Staples Center in downtown L.A.

This morning’s raids come as the most crucial part of a monthlong investigation into Michael’s sudden death June 25 at a rented estate in Holmby Hills, Calif. Court papers have allegedly set out a manslaughter scenario against Dr. Murray, and it is expected that the L.A. coroner will release his toxicology report before the end of this week indicating that a quantity of the lethal sedative was discovered in Michael.

Just one week after Michael’s death, I exclusively reported that the trail of the drug would eventually lead right back here to Las Vegas and implicate Dr. Murray and a number of other Vegas medical personnel and one of our hospitals here. I wrote that the words “manslaughter” and “murder” would be used before the police inquiries were concluded. Click HERE for that exclusive!
