Four days and nights that can only be described as fierce … Sasha Fierce! Superstar Beyonce arrives today for her Thursday through Sunday shows in the Encore Theater at Steve Wynn’s Wynn and Encore resorts. Both casino hotels are rolling out the red carpet for the actress-singer with resort-wide parties and events.
Beyonce’s intimate concerts here in the 1,500-seat theater wrap up her I Am … North American tour of arenas. Some of the tickets available online run as high as $2,475 each! Beyonce then has a break until starting the world tour leg in Australia on Sept. 12. On Aug. 10, she is up for eight Teen Choice Awards on Fox.
Parties are planned at Blush, Tryst and XS all weekend long. There’s even a Fierce Fashion Affair on Saturday afternoon at the Encore Esplanade with her mother, award-winning designer Tina Knowles, the creative director of the House of Dereon, and footwear designer of the year Nicholas Kirkwood.

Exclusive window displays featuring some of Beyonce’s looks for House of Dereon have been created throughout the Wynn and Encore. Tina has become synonymous with elegant red carpet dresses and has built a successful clothing empire. In 2005, inspired by her mother Agnes Dereon, an accomplished seamstress, Tina created the House of Dereon with Beyonce, and together they formed Beyond Productions.
Said Tina: “With the unexplainable energy in Las Vegas and the opportunity to incorporate collections with Beyonce’s tour, I am truly looking forward to meeting many of our loyal customers, as well as fans of our brands. We are incredibly grateful to Wynn Las Vegas and Encore for giving us this unique opportunity to display and retail our brands, as well as host this wonderful trunk show. We feel we have truly been able to create a Beyonce fashion experience on the property during her performances there.”

The House of Dereon collection consists of trend-setting contemporary dresses and evening styles that reflect Tina’s Creole influences and bold fashion ideas. On the heels of the House of Dereon’s success and in response to fans across the country, Tina refocused her energy and talent to the young women’s market and created a new collection simply called Dereon, which made its debut in October 2006. The trend-inspired Dereon collection features sportswear, outerwear, hats, shoes, jewelry, intimates, eyewear and handbags. Throughout this weekend, all of the Dereon products will be featured at retail outlets in Wynn and Encore.
Beyonce’s I Am … tour is in support of her latest album I Am … Sasha Fierce, which has produced the smash hits “If I Were a Boy,” “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and “Halo.” Check out the video for her latest single “Sweet Dreams” HERE.

Beyonce’s Sunday night concert is being recorded for a possible TV special and an eventual DVD release. We’ll have coverage of Beyonce’s visit throughout the weekend with a special eye out for Jay-Z, who is expected to join his beloved here.
