It’s certainly the first Twitter treasure hunt in Las Vegas nightclub history and possibly the world! Next Thursday, Tao in The Venetian will host a treasure hunt with a $5,000 prize, and all the clues come via Twitter.

Be at least 21 years old with ID and bring a digital camera to snap photos of objects you’ll be searching for and a cell phone with a Twitter app to get the tweeted clues. You’ll be competing by yourself; pairs and groups are not permitted.

Starting at 11 p.m. on Twitter @iamtaonightclub, the clues will be tweeted every 20 minutes, so it’s 11 p.m., 11:20 p.m., 11:40 p.m., midnight, 12:20 a.m. and finally 12:40 a.m. You get the 20 minutes in between to solve the clue and snap a clear photo of the object. The treasure hunt will last exactly two hours, ending at 1 a.m.

Now if only Twitter would lift my suspended account because idiots hacked it and sent out volumes of spam to our followers, I could track the action from overseas and report accordingly! I’ll have to leave that fun to somebody else this time around.
