Boogie Nights and Austin Powers actress Heather Graham was the star attraction at our sister Vegas magazine’s 6th anniversary party at Pure in Caesars Palace on Saturday night. Comedian Bill Maher and Playboy beauty Holly Madison also dropped in separately to help celebrate.

Heather, who stars in the comedy Hangover opening Friday, is on the cover of this month’s Vegas, the one Bill is photographed holding. The 39-year-old actress filmed Hangover here at Caesars Palace, and the comedy starring Bradley Cooper and Justin Bartha has a premiere screening here tomorrow.

Heather’s 32-year-old film-director boyfriend Yaniv Raz accompanied her to the party. They met on the set of Son of Mourning, which Yaniv directed and will be released this year, and they have been dating for nine months now and recently moved in together.

Heather told me, “We love coming to Vegas. It was great to film here. I can proudly say, though, that I’ve never woken up with a real-life hangover in Vegas. I did that once in my life when I was much younger. It’s a horrible feeling, and I promised myself I’d never, ever do it again. I avoid all those temptations in Hollywood. My feet are firmly on the ground thanks to yoga and therapy, and I’m simply not going to get caught up in that wild living. I much prefer a balance to my life.”

Yaniv said their living together was working well. “It’s good and healthy, and we’re both hoping that it grows. Heather is a beautiful and wonderful lady. We both love our different careers in the same industry, and although she makes more money than me now, we don’t let that interfere or cause problems.”
Heather summed up: “We’re hoping it all leads to a really romantic place. It’s all good so far, and if it turns into marriage, then we’ll both be very happy about that. We’re hoping!”
Congratulations to Michael Carr, Greenspun Media Group president; Jason Binn, Niche magazine chairman; Alison Miller, Vegas magazine publisher; and all our friends and associates at Vegas magazine on their successful 6th anniversary party, and here’s our champagne wishes for many more!
