Steve Wynn comes to the rescue of Katie Couric

Who did 50-year-old CBS news anchor Katie Couric turn to when she wanted a runaway vacation with her 33-year-old boyfriend entrepreneur Brooks Perlin? She’s not at all concerned about that 17-year age gap, but she did want privacy rather than curious eyes a-staring for their getaway trip.

So our hotel tycoon Steve Wynn offered them his Sun Valley, Idaho, holiday home. It was available, and he wasn’t planning on using it for a while. So Katie took off unbothered by the younger man older woman label, and the twosome had their quiet time together.

They have been dating now for six months, and friends say it’s a smart, honest and drama-free relationship. They were spotted together at the Super Bowl in Florida and have been seen dining at New York’s 21 Club and Gramercy Hotel.

Next stop Las Vegas? At the Encore?
