Caesars Palace executives will wake up this morning to a very pleasant and happy Hangover. The fun-filled comedy The Hangover that opened over the weekend with a box office bonanza was filmed almost entirely on location over a three-month shoot at the Strip casino resort.
Yesterday’s box office estimates had the film about a pre-wedding day bachelor party that goes horribly wrong racking up a solid success story. The total weekend box office for The Hangover will ca-ching in at approximately $43 million in the No. 2 slot, just behind the continuing leader Up from Pixar by about only $1 million!
Final numbers for the comedy starring Bradley Cooper, Justin Bartha, Zach Galifianakis, Heather Graham and Ed Helms, and all other weekend films, will be released today. Click HERE for our coverage of the movie’s Hollywood premiere.
The Hangover cast with their check to Opportunity Village.
To commemorate the film’s opening, Caesars has created the Hangover Sweepstakes. The grand prize of a three-night vacation with passes to Qua Bath and Spas and a $150 beverage credit comes complete with free limo transportation to and from our McCarran International Airport. The first prize is a two-night vacation and $100 beverage credit.
Go to Caesars Palace on Facebook or CaesarsPalaceLV on Twitter to get the rules, regulations and how to post your hangover experiences. The hotel has instituted other hangover packages for rooms and beverage credits through Aug. 1.
