2009 CineVegas kicked into high gear on Day 2 of the 11th annual film festival with not one, two or three but four world premieres!

Film fan frenzy and adrenaline was at an all-time high with two Jackpot Premieres: Redland and Daylight. Daylight actor Sam Rockwell made a special red carpet appearance to support his longtime filmmaker friends.

Also making its world premiere was the documentary All In: the Poker Movie. Poker’s top princes and princesses literally abandoned the World Series of Poker tables across the street at The Rio for a brief trek to the Brenden Theatres at the Palms. Tom McEvoy, WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack, Joe Reitman, Mike Sexton, Amarillo Slim, Howard Lederer, Johnny Marinacci and Clonie Gowan were among the poker peeps who walked the red carpet.

2009 CineVegas: Day 2

Day 2 ended with last night’s world premiere of The Revenant from Las Vegas filmmaker Kerry Prior. That was followed at midnight with two special performances in The Lounge at the Palms: Watts and Volts From Across the Field with Brent Green and the Found Denim & Diamonds Tour with Davy Rothbart. CineVegas guests also celebrated at Lavo in the Palazzo, plus an after-party with the topless dancing beauties at Sapphire.

CineVegas continues today with world premieres of Easier With Practice, Patriotville and Etienne!, plus the documentary Sea of Darkness.
