Are Lance Burton and Zowie Bowie on Monte Carlo’s fall schedule?

Rumors are rampant within the magic community that Lance Burton is about to announce a two-year renewal of his magic show at the Monte Carlo. I’m reliably told that the only delay is for Monte Carlo corporate executives to finalize the announcement and press conference plans.

The two years would mean an unprecedented 15-year run for the master magician. Click HERE for our initial report June 16 about the renewal. Lance has been recovering from a broken foot and is expected to complete the remaining shows of his 13-year contract next month even though the contract actually expired this weekend.

There was gossip while Lance was recovering and in negotiations with resort executives that he might possibly team with comedy magician and fellow Kentucky friend Mac King for a new run of shows, but that idea has now been dropped.

Zowie Bowie performs at the Palms.

Additionally, there are solid rumors that Palms headliners Zowie Bowie will be bringing their Big Band Vintage Vegas Show to the Monte Carlo’s new entertainment schedule this fall after their run at George Maloof’s Palms ends in August. The Palms has signed Pussycat Dolls discovery Matt Goss, a British singer-songwriter, to a new show there to be produced and staged by PCD founder Robin Antin -- click HERE for our report about Matt last week.
