Since it was the first time the NHL had brought more than 100 of its star players to Las Vegas for its annual awards, it was difficult to keep them away from the attractions of our entertainment and nightclub capital of the world. Vegas DeLuxe reported all weekend long their visits to Rain and Moon in the Palms, Tao in The Venetian, Lavo in the Palazzo, Tryst in the Wynn and XS in the Encore.

Two-time 2009 NHL Awards recipient Pavel Datsyuk of the Detroit Red Wings, Luke Schenn of the Toronto Maple Leafs and brother Brayden Schenn, this year’s No. 3 draft pick, only wanted to see The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage. The group was accompanied by a TV crew from TSN covering the three players’ first Las Vegas visit and their first time seeing a Cirque du Soleil show!

After the performance, the group went backstage to meet the Canadian and Russian cast members. They all had such a blast at Love that the Schenn brothers skipped dinner to squeeze in another Cirque show. Luke and Brayden raced to New York-New York for the late performance of Zumanity: the Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil.
