Strip Roundup: LiLo turns 23, Phantom turns 3, and Carrot Top’s contract

With or without DJ Samantha Ronson on her arm and at her side, actress Lindsay Lohan will celebrate her 23rd birthday on Saturday at Wet Republic in MGM. Friends have become increasingly concerned in recent weeks over LiLo’s erratic behavior following the on-and-off again romantic bust-ups between the two ladies.

Lindsay also will be celebrating the debut of her new year-round, sun-kissed glow Seven Nyne Tanning Mist, and she promises to personally bronze a bevy of beauties. She will be presented with a birthday cake poolside. Hopefully no hijinx!

I still remember the time she was at Pure in Caesars Palace fulfilling a paid appearance that had been previously canceled because of a DUI arrest. Lindsay had to wear an electronic ankle bracelet because she was on probation!

More Carrot Top

Zany comedian Carrot Top looks set for a contract renewal at the Luxor, and the news might come as early as tonight. Members of the media have been invited to an appreciation night with a kickoff party at Fusia in the Luxor. After the madcap show, we’re all going to celebrate with him in the Cathouse.

Nobody is saying what we’ll be celebrating, but I’m guessing, fairly accurately, that Luxor President Felix Rappaport will congratulate the comedian for his continuing successful shows -- and then announce the renewal contract. One year? Two years? I’ll have that word on my Twitter, and thus on the Vegas DeLuxe homepage, the very moment it happens!

Phantom's milestone

Congratulations to Phantom -- Las Vegas Spectacular at The Venetian with tonight’s celebration of its third anniversary. At the curtain call, the cast and crew will be presented with a cake to mark the milestone. The exciting production plays at its own theater -- a re-created Paris opera house -- eight times weekly. Phantom fans from across the globe will descend on Las Vegas in September for a weeklong celebration during the first ever Phantom Fans Week.

Two lucky fans will take part in a once-in-a-lifetime makeover experience. The winners will get to wear costumes, hairpieces and theatrical makeup. Director Hal Prince will give a keynote speech, and Anthony Crivello, who plays The Phantom, will take part in a Q&A session. A costumed Masquerade Ball welcome party, when all of St. Mark’s Square will be decked out, will kick off the fan week Sept. 16-20. My friend executive producer Scott Zeiger of BASE Entertainment will host a dinner at Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio and a farewell brunch at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon.
