Megan Fox’s blockbuster weekend in Las Vegas and at the box office

Mega-movie star Megan Fox celebrated the stunning $ucce$$ of her new Transformers movie with an unexpected honeymoon-styled trip to Las Vegas that began yesterday. The sequel Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen almost single-handedly boosted the year-to-date box office receipts by crossing the $200 million mark within its first five days and earning $112 million over the weekend -- that was more than half of all tickets sold!

Megan boosted the year-over-year comparison figures by more than 8 percent! “These are staggering achievements, particularly in light of the economy,” reported one Wall Street financial movie analyst. “If this keeps up next weekend, now summer is really here. It could become an all-time record year for the industry.”

Incidentally, The Hangover, the hit comedy about a bachelor party weekend gone wrong in Las Vegas that was filmed at Caesars Palace, was No. 3 in its sixth week and is now at the $180 million domestic box office mark and is certain to top $200 million.

Megan, the former model and now international sex symbol, flew into Las Vegas with off-and-on-again actor-boyfriend-fiance Brian Austin Green, her older sister and her boyfriend, and it has all the makings of a honeymoon romp to get their troubled romance in order! The foursome relaxed in the lounge of Dos Caminos in the Palazzo sharing guacamole and then separately enjoying ceviche and fish tacos.

The blue-eyed brunette then had a stretch limo to ferry them across the street to Cirque du Soleil’s long-running Mystere at Treasure Island. They slipped in just as the curtain went up to avoid starting a fan frenzy. They ordered Cokes and popcorn to snack on during the production.

Megan and Brian have been dating on and off since 2004 and, despite being engaged, broke up last summer -- then reconciled in February. A month ago, she said she was single again -- but apparently this runaway weekend to Las Vegas indicates that the couple can’t stay apart! She even has his name tattooed on her lower hip!

No word yet on how long Megan and Brian will be staying here, but you can be certain that Vegas DeLuxe will have the details.
