First it was the Pussycat Dolls, and now it will be The Dirty Virgins. That’s the name top Hollywood choreographer Robin Antin is giving her next new girl group of sexy dancers.
In about two weeks, Robin will be return to Las Vegas to audition singers who can dance -- or dancers who can sing -- to join the new group. They will become the backup beauties for her new residency show at the Palms starring British singer Matt Goss as of Sept. 4. Robin also promises a six-piece band to complete the staging.
I chatted with Robin backstage at The Pearl Concert Theater in the Palms when her Pussycat Dolls led by Nicole Scherzinger performed for a sold-out house. The glamour girls -- Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt and Melody Thornton, and minus Jessica Sutta, who was recuperating from a fractured rib -- brought Palms marketing chief Jimmy Tipton onstage to celebrate his birthday with a cake and a sing-along for all his high-rollers, family and friends in the audience.
Robin created the Pussycat Dolls burlesque troupe in 1995 and opened their lounge at Pure in Caesars Palace before launching the Pussycat Pit for the lingerie store and gaming nearby. Now she’s launching the Las Vegas career of former Bros lead singer Matt Goss with The Killers manager Robert Reynolds and Palms Entertainment VP Michael Greco. Matt’s new single “Evil” will be released Aug. 4 on iTunes.

“It is going to be one spectacular show,” Robin told me. “We’re going to start with two weekend shows and let it grow from there with the demand. He is sensational. A gorgeous, smoking hunk who can sing brilliantly. I want his lounge to be packed tight because it will just add to the excitement and heat.”
Yesterday, Robin supervised the English-born singer-songwriter’s first promotional photo sessions at the Palms.
Brothers Matt and Luke Goss.
“I started working with him because he is so talented. I’ve started managing him and guiding him into doing his own thing, which he’s now doing, and his new music is phenomenal! His voice is incredible,” she said. “People just won’t believe what they are seeing and hearing -- and the new female dancers will blow everybody away with the total experience.”
