It was a three-day, three-night, nonstop party for Playboy’s October 2008 Playmate of the Month Kelly Carrington when she celebrated her birthday at the Palms. Kelly began with afternoon festivities at the Palms Pool & Bungalows and continued on after dinner at N9NE Steakhouse to Rain. The next day, she kept the party going with her girlfriends at the Pussycat Dolls concert in The Pearl, followed by more late-night revelry back at Rain.

On her third night of celebrations, Kelly, wearing a gold sequin top, white pants and silver shoes, partied with a group of girlfriends at The Playboy Club. Among the VIPs toasting her over the three nights were former NFL running back Stephen Davis, former NFL player John Randle, MMA star Michael Bisping, Larry Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs and Andrew Bynum of the NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers.

*Hollywood movie tycoon Jerry Bruckheimer says Las Vegas needs an ice hockey team, and if anybody is going to put a deal together for one, it will be him. The power producer, whose Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, opened with a bang at No. 1 over the weekend, told me: “I think it is great to have the sport promoted here in Nevada. Once the economy turns around, I think there is a good possibility we will see a pro sports team here in Las Vegas. It is such a big sport in Canada.”

Jerry, who hosts a private ice skating weekend for his celebrity friends each year here and was in town for the recent 2009 NHL Awards at the Palms, says he loves to film here -- Nicolas Cage’s Con Air and his CSI, for example: “I love Vegas. It has great entertainment, and you meet people from all over the world. They enjoy the shows, great hotels and great food. It is a great place to spend some time. The only thing missing is a sports team, and you never know, but I might be the guy to do it.”
