Socialite and reality TV star Paris Hilton will have her new boyfriend, baseball player and The Hills actor Doug Reinhardt, on her arm tomorrow when she celebrates her 28th birthday at the Hard Rock Hotel. I can confirm that the couple will arrive today from L.A. by private jet and will be at the party together!

Reports about the romance since spending Valentine’s Day together have been sketchy, but I have confirmed that they traveled to Japan together. Paris was there for business and fashion promotions, and they were inseparable. Doug, whose exes include Lauren Conrad and Amanda Bynes, met Paris through mutual friends in their Tinseltown nightclub circles, I was reliably told.

Paris was previously linked for 10 months with Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden after they met before Valentine’s Day a year ago. Their first official dates were here at The Mirage, where they confirmed to me they’d just started their romance. By New Year’s Eve, they were officially over when she rang in the New Year in Australia with her sister Nicky.

Doug, 23, received a baseball scholarship to attend USC but turned it down to sign as the eighth pick with the L.A. Angels of Anaheim. Doug signed with the Baltimore Orioles in 2007, but a knee injury KO’d him, and he returned to a year of studies at Pepperdine University, where he reunited with high school girlfriend Lauren. She introduced him as the real-life boyfriend on The Hills, and, although they broke up, he was invited to remain on Season 4 as a new cast member while still studying. He returns to the show for its fifth season March 30.

One of his friends told me yesterday: “They’re still friends. They still all go out with groups of friends. He enjoys the party and nightclub scene. It was natural that he and Paris would cross paths and meet up in a nightclub. They’ve hit it off. Paris says they are just very good friends, but you can tell there’s something extra special with them.

“They were together on Valentine’s Day as their first date. They’ve been dating ever since. They went to Japan together a couple of weeks ago, and now she’s invited him to be her special date for the Vegas birthday celebrations. They’ve been out on a couple of solo dates at Hollywood restaurants, too, since meeting.”

Doug and Paris get on well together because they also are both business people. She is the ultimate entrepreneur, and he heads up two of his own businesses as a mobile phone entertainment provider. He’s into real estate developments and has a company marketing multimedia-advertising strategies. As part of the festivities tomorrow, Chester French will perform for Paris. Then showman Jeff Beacher will pull out all the stops for his final, private Beacher’s Madhouse circus cabaret show in the beauty’s upstairs play suite. He then takes off on a cross-country tour as we reported yesterday (click HERE).

When Paris arrives today, she will host a poker tournament in the Hard Rock’s poker lounge. Don’t expect her to move off property this weekend, but you know we’ll have full coverage of all her party pleasures and dinner dates right here at Vegas DeLuxe on Sunday.
