Zowie Bowie’s debut in their new lounge at the Palms was a solid knockout hit. The fans and the VIP crowd loved them, and our photos tell the story of their high-energy performance. Chris Phillips and Marley Taylor will perform two shows every Friday and Saturday night.

Palms owner George Maloof and new Palms entertainment director Michael Greco told me after the show backstage they were thrilled with the duo. The singers told me they were ecstatic about their Palms premiere and that it fulfilled an eight-year dream to play the Strip. They moved here from Phoenix in 2006 and have been at Red Rock until this weekend’s move to the Palms. (Click HERE for our recent Zowie Bowie story.)

Also there was star chef Kerry Simon, hair guru Michael Boychuck and his wife, Crazy Girls director Karen Raider, Miss Nevada USA Georgina Vaughan, Bellagio entertainer Dian Diaz and Kelly Carrington, Playboy’s Miss October 2008 who is in the running to be this year’s Playmate of the Year.

Kelly Carrington.

Florida native Kelly, 21, is a public relations major at the University of Florida. George and she have been linked together and recently have been seen on dates. She says she’d like to be a wedding planner with her own boutique.

I’m going to stay well away about what the future holds for the couple, but don’t be surprised if you see their relationship heating up in coming months.
