Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson to duke it out … in new video game
By Robin Leach
Don’t rush off to Ticketmaster or scan its Web site trying to buy tickets for the boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson -- even though it’s on! Instead, get ready this summer to hit your gaming store because the two legends will slug it out on Round Four of Fight Night from EA Sports!
Our hometown champ Mike says he’s already been playing the game -- and losing to Ali! Mike says the game is very realistic, with incredible animation, and he’s thrilled to make the video game cover. Mike confessed that he’s a better fighter when he’s playing the Joe Frazier character than his own!
He told interviewer Ray Holloman: “I’m very respectful of Ali and have the greatest admiration for him. He was at the last fight of my career, and I’m just happy with the fact he knows my name. That’s the greatest honor.
“This game is so accurate. Playing it, I would get on the inside to fight Ali. You can be so agile and elusive to get through his accurate jabs. You know what you want to do in a fight, but can you actually do it when you’re in there?

“The good thing now is that I’m at a point in my life where I’m old spiritually and emotionally. I’m happy to hang out with my kids as an old-timer. I’m a boring guy, and there’s not much that makes me interesting right now. ”
Presumably, Mike will be playing the new game with his kids -- and seeing if they can beat him! Mike, who is often seen around our famed Strip nightclubs, will be back in the news next month when the new video game is launched at the same time as Tyson, the documentary on his life.
