Photo Gallery: Chicago baseball comes to downtown Las Vegas

Sports stars from the two Windy City Major League Baseball teams faced off at our Cashman Field four weeks before the official start of baseball season. The first two games were sell-outs as the crowds cheered on the Chicago White Sox to victory.

Normally, Vegas Deluxe doesn’t follow the daylight activities of athletes because they create plenty of action for us to cover in our Strip nightclubs after the sun sets. But when baseball stars from two teams in the same city take over our town, we simply can’t overlook it.

Our contributing photographer Tom Donoghue was on the diamond for his shots of Jeff Marquez, Bobby Jenks, Chris Getz, Wilson Betemit, Jermaine Dye and Paul Konerko from the White Sox and Lou Piniella, Aaron Heilman, Mike Fontenot, Aramis Ramirez, Luis Rivas, Jake Fox and Alfonso Soriano from the Chicago Cubs.
