Even before general admission tickets go on sale tomorrow morning in London, all advance presale tickets for Michael Jackson’s original concerts and the new ones Vegas DeLuxe reported yesterday (click HERE) have been sold out!
Now Michael’s adding even more shows to keep pace with the demand for the This Is It run at the 02 Arena in the British capital.
Our on-and-off Las Vegas resident now looks as if he’s going to spend at least three months performing in London this summer. Michael will alternate on a one day on and one day off schedule, so he gets a free night between concerts -- but now he’s up to nearly 30 concerts from the original 10!
Michael Jackson and Robin Leach pose for the photogs.
The original shows with one addition are set for July 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 22, 24, 26, 28 and 30. The new dates announced ahead of general admission sales are Aug. 1, 3, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26, 28 and 30, plus Sept. 1, 3, 6, 8, 10 and 21.
Ticketmaster in London said last night in an email to password holders unable to get through on the Internet service that the volume of people trying to buy tickets was so huge and unexpected that the servers have overloaded and many people had been unable to connect. Officials have promised to solve all the technical issues before tomorrow’s sale. “There simply hasn’t ever been any previous show to have this much volume of ticket sales and demand,” the email stated.
Additionally, the 02 Arena is being opened today at noon London time for people to camp out to purchase tickets from the box office beginning at 7 a.m. London time Friday, which would be midnight Vegas time tonight.
