It didn’t matter that Motley Crue frontman and Las Vegas resident Vince Neil had celebrated his birthday on Feb. 8 because he did it all over again this past weekend at the Palms! The 48-year-old rocker and his gorgeous wife Lia were everywhere you went in George Maloof’s casino resort!

The first of the second celebration was at Iron Chef winner Kerry Simon’s restaurant in Palms Place. They joined DJ AM and Haylie Wood for a sushi supper. They then took in the new Friday night concerts by Zowie Bowie, and Vince wound up on stage, where Chris Phillips and Marley Taylor led a “Happy Birthday” sing-along and had a traditional candle-laden cake ready for him to blow out.

Vince also signed Motley Crue memorabilia at owner Johnny Brenden’s suite in the Brenden movie theaters there before the screening of the Crue Fest documentary shot during last summer’s debut tour. Vince and his rocker pals Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx and Mick Mars go out on the road for Crue Fest 2 again this summer, and there’s a stop scheduled for the new Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel.

While back home on a break from his current solo tour, Vince checked up on the progress of his new Dr. Feelgood’s bar, and he’ll be back next month for a special night once it’s opened and rocking!

Partying at the Palms

Elsewhere in the Palms on the star-studded nights was record producer Jeffrey Townes, who’s better known as DJ Jazzy Jeff. After feasting on Chef Geno Bernardo’s taste treats at Nove Italiano there, he partied downstairs at Rain. Playboy Playmates Alison Waite (Miss May 2006) and Laura Croft (Miss July 2008) also were at Nove Italiano and Rain but in separate groups.

Next door at N9NE steakhouse, former NFL running back Eric Dickerson went into Chef Barry Dakake's kitchen after his meal to sign the well-autographed kitchen door. Then Eric went upstairs to The Playboy Club, where NBA great Kenny Anderson and NFL cornerback Roland “Champ” Bailey of the Denver Broncos were relaxing.
