As part of its community involvement, our CineVegas Film Festival is working with the Boys & Girls Club of Las Vegas. The kids are involved in a five-week project that teaches them how to create, write and star in their own short film. The children are currently shooting Where Da Girls At?, which will have its red carpet premiere hosted by actor and CineVegas Chairman Dennis Hopper at this June’s 11th annual film festival at the Brenden Theaters in the Palms.

Mr. Las Vegas himself, singer and entertainer Wayne Newton, visited with the kids and talked about filmmaking and performing in front of the camera. Wayne took time to individually give them tips, and then he had them all experience the celebrity life by having them walk a red carpet for media photographers! Wayne even gave their names to reporters to call out and have them fight to get their interviews!

Our contributing photographer Scott Harrison was on the scene for this collection of photographs.
