Producers of ABC’s top-rated Dancing With the Stars have no idea if viewer voting on tonight’s results show will contradict scoring by the three judges. Here are the official ABC photos from last night’s broadcast.
Our Las Vegas hometown beauty Chelsie Hightower is at the bottom of the final four with cowboy king Ty Murray with 48 out of a possible 60 points. However, every week viewer votes have saved them from elimination, so all eyes will be on the next lowest couple, Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani, with 55 to see if they’re ousted instead!
We’ll have that nail-biting decision right here at Vegas Deluxe tonight moments after the satellite broadcast to the East Coast from Hollywood. It looks fairly definite now that the final showdown will be between front-runner Gilles Marini and partner Cheryl Burke, who scored a perfect 60 last night, and Olympic gold-medal-winning gymnast Shawn Johnson and partner Mark Ballas with 56.
After five seasons with DWTS, our other Las Vegas heroine Julianne Hough has moved on to a new passion -- country music -- and a real-life romance with her Season 8 dance partner, country singer Chuck Wicks. However, even the country music career might be on hold for now.
Cheryl Burke and Gilles Marini react to scoring a perfect 30. With them is host Tom Bergeron.
Julianne has become such a hot blonde beauty that industry bible Daily Variety is reporting that she might star opposite singer Christina Aguilera in the movie musical Burlesque. It’s the story of an ambitious small-town girl who finds success, love and a family working in a Los Angeles club, and Julianne would play Christina’s dancer best friend. Julianne also is under consideration -- after a successful audition -- to play opposite Gossip Girl heartthrob Chace Crawford in a remake of 1984’s Footloose.
Meantime, Julianne’s romance with Chuck continues even though both are on separate tours, but they will be reunited next week in Los Angeles when all of the Season 8 Dancing With the Stars cast, including The Girls Next Door star Holly Madison, return for the finals.
