Newlyweds Jay-Z and Beyonce are set for Las Vegas concerts this summer, but on different dates, and the hip-hop mogul will even have a different female recording star on stage with him! Oh, the complexities of showbiz!
It looks to be a star-packed summer, and the list of big celebrity names keeps growing. Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, with special guest Ciara will have back-to-back shows July 3 and 4 at George Maloof’s Pearl Concert Theater in the Palms. They go up directly opposite their friend, actor-comedian-singer Jamie Foxx, who brings his Intuition Tour to the new Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel on the same dates at the same times! Also appearing at The Joint this summer will be late-night TV talk-show host Chelsea Handler on June 20.

In addition to Jay-Z, the Palms also will present the Pussycat Dolls, recently seen here as Britney Spears’ opening act, on June 27, while Australian singing sensation Kylie Minogue makes her first-ever Las Vegas tour stop on her debut U.S. tour Oct. 3.
Mrs. Carter -- Beyonce to you -- will appear at Steve Wynn’s Encore Theater from July 30 through Aug. 2 with her “I Am … ” concerts.

Two stars from the Emmy-nominated series Curb Your Enthusiasm will star for three consecutive nights at Wayne Brady’s showroom in The Venetian. The comic’s comic Richard Lewis, always in signature black from head to toe, will again turn his misery into our humor when he performs with Susie Essman. Richard was named one of the Top 50 standup comedians of all time by Comedy Central and is now filming the seventh season of Enthusiasm. Susie, with her razor sharp satire, has more than 20 years of standup experience and also has appeared in The King of Queens and Law and Order.
Tickets for several of these shows go on sale as early as this weekend, and Vegas DeLuxe will have those details in the Royal Robin Rundown on Friday.

Our Merry Mayor of Mirth Oscar Goodman has told me that he’s getting set to announce a tremendous lineup of comics and stars for downtown, too, and I’m reliably told that even more big names are waiting in the wings for official releases on their summer appearances here on the Strip. Said Oscar: “We will have the biggest and best summer lineup of stars in Vegas history.”
