The Girls Next Door reality star Holly Madison is being heavily tipped as the replacement star for the adult, topless, burlesque cabaret Peepshow at Planet Hollywood when the three-month contract with General Hospital star Kelly Monaco comes to an end.
The buzz on all fronts is increasing, even though no official announcement has been made about a signed contract. As Vegas DeLuxe first reported Tuesday, the principals and the dancers have now shed their pasties and are truly topless -- click HERE for that story!
I know from my prior conversations with creator-director-choreographer Jerry Mitchell that Holly auditioned for the role along with Brooke Burke and others. Peepshow producer Scott Zeiger of Base Entertainment also confirmed that Holly had auditioned. As regular readers of Vegas DeLuxe know, we first tipped you to Holly being courted for more than two Strip shows, and now I have been told from a reliable source that contracts are in process, and an announcement might come in the next few days.
Holly herself told me that she knows nothing more about the possible deal or the result of the auditions, but if it becomes fact, she’d be ecstatic. “I’ve got my fingers crossed, but I don’t know anything yet,” she said. “The only thing I can say is that I can’t say anything yet.”

Meantime, the Playboy beauty wants and needs you today! Better still, strip down and show up in support wearing nothing more than a bikini! The bikini parade on the Strip -- as we reported Tuesday (click HERE for that story) -- kicks off at 10 this morning when Mayor Oscar Goodman, with Holly at his side in bikini No. 1, declares, “Summer has arrived in paradise!” They will be at the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, which is celebrating its 50 anniversary this year, south of Mandalay Bay on the Strip.
Holly told me: “This will be fun. We’ll make it into a party. It’s exciting when an entire city gets behind the attempt to make a new world record, and hopefully we’ll have over 300 bikini beauties ready to claim a new entry in the Guinness Book of World Records. Robin, you must come down, but you have to wear short swimwear, too!” (The days of me in a Speedo on the beach in the South of France are long gone, I’m afraid! Just the thought of it makes you want to reach for the Alka-Seltzer!)
After the warm weather proclamation by our Merry Mayor of Mirth, there will be a swimwear retrospective fashion show featuring gorgeous models in bathing suits from the 1950s right up to the daring and risque bikinis of today! And Holly will model bikini No. 2.

Then everybody will walk to Fashion Show Mall with at least 300 bikini-clad beauties assembled in an attempt for a new world record. Talk about traffic coming to a stunning stop on the Strip. You’ll never hear a traffic alert like that again! Holly, in bikini No. 3, will try to drag some of her late-night party friends to join the fun but wants as many other bikini blondes and brunettes there as possible.
Holly will stop at the Planet Hollywood pool party early afternoon to continue the summer kickoff celebration. Several hotel pools from the Strip to downtown will be throwing similar parties tomorrow.
Meantime, Holly has just completed a series of Las Vegas-themed photo shoots for her new 2010 calendar. She re-creates the famous Sharon Stone scene from Casino, and even wore a sexy look-alike outfit to throw the chips up in the air on location at Planet Hollywood’s casino. Holly also filmed at the Neon Boneyard among all the discarded neon memorabilia of the Strip.

The Playboy beauty, who is readying her own new reality series to be shot in Las Vegas, heads back to Hollywood after the promotion to start weekend rehearsals to dance the samba again with pro partner Dmitry Chaplin for the Monday and Tuesday finals of Dancing With the Stars.
“I haven’t been in the gym as much as I’d like since we were voted off the show, and I certainly haven’t been doing any dancing since then,” Holly told me. “So I will need the two days of rehearsals. The samba was the most difficult of all the dances we did this season, and you just know they’d give it to us again on the finals show.” (For the record, that’s the dance that caused the damage to her rib cage!)
The DWTS showdown is now set! Click HERE for our story yesterday on the exit of Ty Murray and our hometown professional Chelsie Hightower.

Holly summed up: “I’m really excited to go back for the finals. It is going to be a tremendous contest with lots of incredible dancing. I’ve made my pick to win, but I’m keeping that secret until after the winner is announced. But I bet I’m right.”
