Less than 48 hours after Vegas DeLuxe first reported the rumors that sexy actress and model Carmen Electra was headed to the topless burlesque revue Crazy Horse Paris at MGM Grand, I can now confirm that the official announcement will be made within hours this afternoon -- exactly as we predicted! (Click HERE for our Saturday morning exclusive.) The striptease wars on the Strip are now definitely heating up!

Crazy Horse Paris officials have just confirmed to me that Carmen is now set to headline there July 8-13 in a special engagement. She will appear in three separate dance acts twice nightly at 8 and 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to Monday.

The sex symbol once married to basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman and currently engaged to Korn rocker Rob Patterson said: “I am excited to perform in Crazy Horse Paris at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It is such an iconic show, and I was in awe after seeing it for the first time. The dancers and the performances are so sensual and sexy that I knew I wanted to perform with the illustrious dance troupe and be part of Crazy Horse Paris history.”

Carmen Electra celebrates her belated 37th birthday with fiance Rob Patterson and revelers at Wet Republic in MGM Grand.

Carmen, who studied dance as a youth, was discovered by music legend Prince when she was 18. She shot to stardom in Baywatch, co-hosted MTV’s Singled Out and appeared in Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie and Scary Movie.

Carmen has been named one of the sexiest women in the world by publications including FHM, Stuff and Playboy and has appeared several times on the cover and inside Playboy. She recently appeared on Dancing With the Stars and has her own troupe of burlesque dancers that appear on the L.A. party circuit.

Crazy Horse Paris in France opened in 1951 and has not missed a single night’s performance. Dita Von Teese was the last celebrity to dance in the MGM production. Carmen, incidentally, will be competing against fellow Playboy model Holly Madison, who opens in Peepshow at Planet Hollywood on June 22, succeeding Kelly Monaco.
