Strip Scribbles: Carmen Electra offers a ‘Lesson in Eroticism’ at MGM Grand
By Robin Leach
We’re learning more about just exactly what pint-sized provocative princess Carmen Electra will power and purr through during her upcoming performances in Crazy Horse Paris at the MGM Grand starting July 8. Click HERE for our exclusive story yesterday.
Carmen will appear in one topless number with the entire Crazy Horse Paris lineup of beautiful dancers titled “Etoile de Paris,” and then she’ll have two solo numbers, of which one is a “Lesson in Eroticism” and the other a greasy, grimy, sexually charged torn-uniform number titled “Chain Gang.” If memory serves me correct, the “Eroticism” routine will see her strip down to an all-black lingerie outfit of high heels, lace gloves, seamed stockings, panties, garter belt and bra!
Crazy Horse Paris' Evolution.
There’s no definitive word yet if Carmen will shed all inhibitions and go topless or near fully nude during her run. But my bet is she will, because in this feast of flesh, she will be bathed in a kaleidoscope of incredible lighting and beautiful colors that just about provides a modicum of modesty over the strategic spots!
Peepshow's leading man Josh Strickland with Kelly Monaco and Mel B.
*For tonight’s American Idol finale, there will be a viewing party in the Extra lounge at Planet Hollywood hosted by American Idol alumnus Josh Strickland. Josh, who was in Season 2, stars in Peepshow at Planet Hollywood with Mel B, and several of the Peepshow dancers will join him as A.I. crowns its Season 8 winner, either Adam Lambert of San Diego or Kris Allen of Conway, Ark.
John Stamos jams with The Beach Boys.
*Rumors are beginning to buzz solidly that actor John Stamos will be a surprise guest performer with The Beach Boys at their Memorial day weekend concerts Saturday and Sunday at the Mandalay Bay Beach outdoor stage.
A rendering of the stage for the 2009 NHL Awards at the Pearl Concert Theater on June 18.
*We wanted to share with you this first look at the rendering of how the stage will look for the 2009 NHL Awards at The Pearl Concert Theater in the Palms. It’s the first time the awards are here in Las Vegas, and the buzz is that 24 star Kiefer Sutherland will attend -- and may even host. You can purchase tickets online at Ticketmaster or at the Pearl box office for the June 18 event.
*Here’s a unique idea: The Double Helix bar at the Palazzo has created a line of cocktails infused with great wines. The new drinks are known as “winetails,” and next time I’m there at either the Palazzo or the adjoining Venetian, I’m going to try them. Ray Nisi, founding partner of Double Helix, says no other wine bar on the Strip has presented the merger of premier wines and liquor. The first five winetails are Vegas 75 (sparkling white wine, gin, lemon juice and sugar), Lucky Ray (Riesling, peach schnapps, pineapple juice and grenadine), Ben’s Bellini (sparkling white wine, lychee puree and grapefruit juice), Rioja Libre (red wine, Coke, orange and lime) and Snowy Chloe (Sauvignon Blanc, Ciroc vodka and crushed white grapes). They sound delicious and totally unique!
David Rush at Jet in The Mirage.
David Rush performs at Jet in The Mirage.
*Hip-hop star David Rush made a special appearance at Jet in The Mirage to perform his current hit “Shooting Star.” Originally known as Young Boss, the New Jersey-born singer got his start with Miami rapper Pitbull in 2007, with the re-recording of their hit collaboration “Go Girl” appeared on Pitbull’s album Boatlift. Tough Love cast members Jacklyn and Tray, who have become fan favorites in the VH1 reality show, hosted their “Vegas Playtime” party at Jet. Shawne Merriman of the San Diego Chargers palled up with Toronto Raptors star and former UNLV player Shawn Marion, who was celebrating his birthday at Jet. It was the club’s “Hottest Mom” contest with eye candy wherever one turned, and Shawne posed with winner Connie Pena, a single mom from Las Vegas.
