Showman Jeff Beacher is coming home with his Madhouse Costume Ball after a string of successful cross-country tour dates, and he’s getting a new 1,200-seat theater at The Mirage starting Oct. 3.
Jeff told me when I spoke with him from Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J., where he was appearing over Memorial Day weekend: “It will be the first time on the Strip, and we’ll be throwing the party every month after October. At the same time, I’ve just gone into business with (former Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas owner) Harry Morton to buy the Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, and we’ll do the Beacher’s Madhouse there every Wednesday starting in just two weeks time!

“I’m very happy because that will keep us nicely anchored in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. But we have been selling out on tour with 3,000 to 5,000 people every time. It’s gone so much better than I thought it would. We are killing it!”
Jeff told me he has dates in Florida, Atlanta and San Diego until the end of July, and then he’ll return to Las Vegas to prepare for the show at The Mirage. He added: “They are building out a ballroom into a new theater, so we’ll have 1,200 seats and room for dancing. That’s bigger than The (old) Joint, where we had a great three-year-run. We’ll have major comedians and headliners performing and hosting for our celebrity turnout. The new show will have much more of the nonstop party.”
Jeff Beacher and Artie Lange.
He describes his Beacher’s Madhouse Ball as the largest red carpet celebrity-packed event in the world, with the atmosphere of a circus and the energy of a nightclub. Said Jeff: “It’s a sexy costume party combined with outrageous variety acts, beautiful dancers, little people, great DJs spinning all night, Mini Britney Spears, wild hosts, Oompa Loompas performing their hit dance routines, the ever-controversial Tiny KISS, giant pink gorillas, enormous bunny rabbits and hundreds of partygoers dressed in every possible sexy, outrageous costume.”
