DWTS Photo Gallery: Two couples go home tonight — is Kelly one of them?

Nobody expected last night’s shakeup on Dancing With the Stars, and nobody knows how the unpredictable viewers voted last night for tonight’s results show. The judges changed the dynamics of the show, and the viewers could overrule or agree with them in tonight’s double elimination.

At the top of the leaderboard for the couples dance was singer Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff with their highest score of the season at 29 -- including two perfect 10s from judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli. However, they dropped to second place overall with a combined 53 points after their Team Paso Doble score.

Here is Aaron and Karina’s energetic jive posted on YouTube:

Our Las Vegas Academy graduate Derek Hough with poker-playing model partner Joanna Krupa wound up in first at the end of the night with an overall 55 because their solo score of 27 was added to Team Tango’s 28-point win.

In the black hole at the other end, it’s Iron Chef America star Mark Dacascos, who is in trouble partly because partner Lacey Schwimmer dropped out last-minute with the flu and was subbed by Anna Trebunskaya, Chuck Liddell’s partner this Season 9. Mark is now for the first time at the very bottom with 43 points, followed by former NFL star Michael Irvin with Anna Demidova at 47.

There’s a surprise, too, in the Bottom 3, with singer Mya and Dmitry Chaplin appearing far from the top for the first time with only 49. The big question: When the viewer voting is tallied, will it be between those three couples? Or will our Las Vegas favorite Kelly Osbourne be downgraded from her 52 points in the middle of the bunch to dance-off instead of Mya? Flamingo headliner Donny Osmond also is tied with 52 and looks certain to go on for another week.

Rod Stewart will perform “It’s the Same Old Song” from his just-released album Soulbook on tonight’s results show. Singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat will perform her hit “Fallin’ for You,” which will be danced by Edyta Sliwinska and Alec Mazo, who were both in town last week for Wayne Newton’s premiere night. Derek and Mark Ballas will unveil their new song “Move” from the upcoming album of their Ballas Hough band.

We’ll have our spoiler-alert story in an abbreviated form tonight as the East Coast broadcast ends at the same time as psychic comic Kevin Burke raises the 7 p.m. curtain on the 13-month anniversary of his show downtown at the Fitz. I promised him I’d be there for that, so I will do my best to do two things at once!
