Strip Scribbles: Paris Hilton turns to Michael Boychuck for TV appearance

Top celebrity hair king Michael Boychuck had his hands filled with the hair of the Hilton honeys the past few days. His Hilton-packed week as the go-to colorist of the stars began when Paris flew him to her Los Angeles home to tame the tresses for her Halloween appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC. The owner of our Color salon at Caesars Palace and Amp and Primp salons in the Palms, Michael first worked his platinum blonde magic on Paris.
Then he raced back here to attend to sister Nicky Hilton, who wanted to be transformed into Audrey Hepburn for her hosting duties at Pure in Caesars Palace. Additionally, matriarch Kathy and her sister Kyle Richards visited Color for hair and makeup treatments. Michael has a long history with the Hiltons, being the man behind Paris’ signature blonde tresses for the past 15 years.

No sooner did Nicky host at Pure on Halloween than did Pure Management Group announce that they’ve booked their next big party hosts. For New Year’s Eve, PMG have signed 50 Cent at Pure, Black Eyed Peas at LAX in the Luxor and Shwayze at Christian Audigier in Treasure Island.
*Two Strip magicians -- Lance Burton of the Monte Carlo and Mac King of Harrah’s – and other Las Vegas-headquartered wizards are among the performers at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles to perform in It’s Magic this Sunday. Lance’s Hollywood appearance marks the day 28 years ago when he was first discovered by talent scouts from The Tonight Show for Johnny Carson. Being a magic fan and an amateur magician before becoming a TV host, Johnny gave Lance the thumbs up to do an unprecedented 12-minute act on the late-night program.
Neil Patrick Harris.
This weekend’s one-night show dedicated to magic fans and aficionados is the 53rd anniversary of Milt Larsen and Terry Hill’s It’s Magic, with actor and magic fan Neil Patrick Harris as host. Other magicians performing include Rudy Coby, Joseph Gabriel & Katalin, Kevin James & Company, Jorge Blass and Shimada.
Incidentally, I told you yesterday about Siegfried & Roy’s return to the Hamburg, Germany, theater where they first performed. Today, we obtained a photo of the two incredible illusionists backstage with the artists!

*The dueling Vinnies who are competing to become the spokesman for New York-New York Hotel duked it out in challenges at Nine Fine Irishmen. Vinny Red and Vinny Blue competed in standup improv, a bar drinking song and an Irish jig. Our contributing photographer Erik Kabik was there to catch the action. You have until Nov. 12 to vote for your favorite Vinny. The winner will be announced Nov. 16.
*We couldn’t let Halloween end without peeking in on talk show host Jerry Springer’s Dysfunctional Bash at Hawaiian Tropic Zone in Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops. The restaurant was transformed into a haunted haven for the spooktacular soiree. Jerry introduced the costume contestants on the overhead catwalk and gave away two $500 checks for the most dysfunctional couple’s attire and the sexiest Halloween costume. World wrestling legend Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake was among the crowd for the night of fun and fear.
