When gorgeous redheaded singer and former Baywatch beauty Angelica Bridges heard that the cowboys were coming to town, she wanted to “get down in the dirt with them,” and last night she realized that goal at the 2009 Professional Bull Riders World Finals at the Thomas & Mack Center.

Angelica swapped the sexy, barely there costumes of her headline show Fantasy at the Luxor for a Stetson hat, jeans, boots and a plaid shirt and posed for photos with cowboys J.B. Mauney and reigning world champion Guilherme Marchi of Brazil.

“My uncle rode bulls back in Missouri,” she told me. “So this was getting back down home for me. Bulls are real mean, nasty animals, and the riders who beat them are the toughest, bravest men in any sport. This was a real thrill for me to meet the stars of the sport and get up close but safe to the bulls. A real experience and high!”

Today, Angelica takes on a different kind of hungry animal. She’s one of the competitors in the Martorano Masters Meatball Eating Championships at The Rio. At high noon, Angelica will sit down and do battle against Major League Eating stars, including Joey Chestnut, to see who devours the most meatballs in 10 minutes.

Angelica may just have an advantage because chef/owner/DJ Steve Martorano has decreed the competitors must use knives and forks out of respect to his treasured cuisine. All the other competitors are used to using their hands and fingers to stuff all kinds of food into their mouths.

“I’m a lady,” Angelica said. “I have a 1-2 secret strategy to speed past them and still remain ladylike without a mess. Plus, I'm going to wear something sexy in hopes of also distracting them!”
