Flamingo headliner Donny Osmond looked comfortably among the top three dance couples with a score of 26 for the Viennese waltz with his partner Kym Johnson.
Moments later, their decision to perform a futuristic glam-rock interpretation of the paso doble to “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)” was slammed by the judges, who described his costume as a Halloween cast-off! They gave them only 24 points for a total of 50 for the night’s two dances.
Aaron Carter and partner Karina Smirnoff tied them with 50, earning a 23 for their foxtrot and then picking up 27 points for their 1990s samba to get the tie.
Now both singers face elimination tonight. Depending on fan support or other viewer voting surprises, one of them goes home. Our other Las Vegas favorite Kelly Osbourne, however, is only one point above them at 51, earning 25 for her foxtrot with Louis Van Amstel and 26 for their jive.
If Donny’s fans save him, then it will come down to the wire for Aaron or Kelly. We will have live Twitter reports this evening before meeting up with Lily Tomlin at her first-ever Las Vegas premiere of her new show Not Playing With a Full Deck at MGM’s Hollywood Theater. It’s her debut here in 40 years in showbiz.

Once again at the top of the leaderboard and way out in front by seven points is singer Mya and partner Dmitry Chaplin with 59 from their 1970s samba, which won them three perfect 10’s from the judges, plus their near-perfect quickstep at 29. Closest competitors -- but seven points back -- are model Joanna Krupa and her partner, our former Las Vegas Academy graduate Derek Hough. They scored 52 total from their futuristic paso doble at 29 and the disastrous first-dance quickstep at 23. Joanna and Derek were hailed as having the best dance of the night -- and the worst!
Meantime, Britain’s Got Talent runner-up Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle makes her American performing debut on tonight’s results show on ABC. Michael Buble also is scheduled to sing.

We’ll be back tonight with the news of who gets sent home for good. Will it be Aaron or a Las Vegas duel between Kelly and Donny? We’ll also have the elimination recap and photos here tomorrow.
