Tiger Woods, two Las Vegas sources and The National Enquirer

As golf superstar Tiger Woods canceled all of his golfing appearances through year’s end today, more revelations began to surface of his rumored affair with a former Tao VIP hostess. Rachel Uchitel, who owns an $850,000 condo in Turnberry Place here, is now in Los Angeles under the watchful eye of legal pit-bull Gloria Allred. Rachel is a former employee of Tao at The Venetian.

Slowly but surely, Rachel’s adamant denials of the story -- about knowing the world’s top golfer or the two girls who told their story to The National Enquirer -- are coming unglued. Vegas DeLuxe has learned that there’s more bombshell information that might be released in a follow-up article. That additional information includes photographs of Rachel with her Las Vegas girlfriends on vacation in Spain.

“One shot shows them cozying up together at a party, so that puts an end to her claim that she doesn’t know them or ever spent time with them,” one source said. “They went to Spain together on vacation -- after she’d met Tiger.

“Rachel was very open, proud as it were, that after Tiger had met her, he phoned her and sent texts constantly. She didn’t exactly stay quiet about getting those messages.”

The National Enquirer says both Las Vegas girls who spilled the beans passed separate lie-detector tests. Now sources say Tiger and Rachel have admitted that they met earlier this year in New York. However, they quickly point out that they didn’t do anything more than shake hands cordially.

But how can the coincidence of Tiger and Rachel being in Melbourne, Australia, at the same hotel just a few months later be explained? She says they didn’t meet there and that she was working with clients. Media from around the world are asking how the 2:20 a.m. car crash at Tiger’s Florida home and his wife Elin Nordegren using a golf club to smash in the rear windows of his Cadillac Escalade can be explained.

Meantime, I’m reliably told that the two Las Vegas girls are confident that they told the whole truth. They are under contract to the Enquirer and are unable to comment further.

I’m told they felt that they had to divulge the details when questioned by the tabloid because they didn’t want to be party to a “home wrecker’s” actions.
