Rock superstars to invade The Mirage for Slash & Friends
By Robin Leach
Just when you think this weekend could not be more star-studded and party productive, along comes the topper! And it will be the biggest night of rock that Las Vegas has ever seen! In fact, it’s a weekend of incredible live performances and parties as the rock and roll blowout Slash & Friends celebrates the 20th anniversary of The Mirage.
Rarely seen in Las Vegas, singer Courtney Love of Hole fame will make an appearance and perform with rock icon Slash and friends at Bare Ultra Pool tonight to kick it all off. Slash will have Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, Rocco DeLuca, Cheap Trick, Chris Daughtry and Franky Perez all onstage for the performance and the party.
24 star Kiefer Sutherland will host the shindig, which opens with Billy Boy of Poison and also features Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, Led Zeppelin’s Jason Bonham, Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee, Rob Zombie and Velvet Revolver’s Matt Sorum.
Grammy-nominated rock group Daughtry.
The rockers will continue at Jet in The Mirage with celebrity tattoo artist Mario Barth presenting The Biggest Tattoo Show On Earth after-party hosted by Slash and his rock friends featuring our Las Vegas all-girl rock group Darling Stilettos.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. and the party at 1 a.m., which means as dawn breaks tomorrow morning, they should just about be calling it a night. We’ve got full photo coverage planned, so we’ll post those Monday if we’re unable to package them in time for the weekend.
