After five years with 300 performances for 450,000 fans, Barry Manilow’s record-setting engagement at the Las Vegas Hilton will end on Dec. 30. Rumored for weeks, and reported since May here on Vegas DeLuxe, the official announcement was made this morning.

“Barry Manilow is an exceptional entertainer, and we have been extremely fortunate to have had him as our resident headliner at the Las Vegas Hilton for the last five years,” said Ken Ciancimino, executive vice president. “Although this current engagement is ending, our friendship with him endures, and we will continue to explore possibilities for future endeavors together.”

Barry began at the Hilton with Manilow: Music and Passion in February 2005. His current show, Ultimate Manilow: the Hits, debuted in July last year. Final performances are Nov. 27-29 and Dec. 28-30.
