There’s no doubt about it that with the sudden drop in temperatures here in Las Vegas, summer is officially over, and autumn has arrived. The colors are a-changing! The decorations team at the Palazzo has really embraced the season and completely transformed the decor of the property.
Last night, celebrities, VIPs and guests at the A Bronx Tale opening performance by Chazz Palminteri in The Venetian marveled at the Palazzo lobby’s Lalique statue, which was draped in swirling, hand-sculpted bronze vine and copper-toned leaves. (Chazz’s after-party was at Lavo in the Palazzo.) It was surrounded by masses of fall flowers and pumpkin patches that simply boggled the mind. The pumpkins were anywhere from 3 to 1,000 pounds!
In the Palazzo’s Waterfall Atrium, a whimsical 80-foot-tall vine with 8-foot copper leaves shimmers over fields of oversized pumpkins The swirling vine was hand-sculpted from steel, and the fully dimensional copper leaves were hand applied with curly Q’s and large, hand-painted pumpkin blossoms. An eye-popping extravaganza of yellow-orange flowers, cattails and chrysanthemums fill the plush gardens.
The Palazzo's autumn display.
The must-see attraction is free for guests and visitors and will be on display until Nov. 29 -- Thanksgiving weekend. It will then be changed into the holiday season wonderland.
