Peepshow star Holly Madison is ready for lights, camera and action when shooting starts Monday on her new VH1 reality TV series Planet Holly. Holly, who stars and serves as an executive producer on the series, also will be seen Sunday night on the two-night premiere of ex Hugh Hefner’s The Girls Next Door on E! I’ll be on the set with Holly one day next week filming a guest appearance, so we’ll have a report for VDLX.

Meantime, last night Holly and her Peepshow cast mates, including Josh Strickland, and her best gal pal Laura Croft dressed up for our annual nightclubs’ Prom Night party. Festivities were at Wet Republic in MGM Grand, and Holly was nominated for Prom Queen.

However, the crown and title went to our Las Vegas Weekly colleague Xania Woodman, who had lost her five previous nominations. Congratulations to a well-deserved Xania, and also the Prom Princess, Shannon Kelly of Tiffany Master’s Cabana Candy group that also is about to be filmed as a new reality show.

If you want to get up close to Holly at 6: 45 p.m. tomorrow, she will serve as the official keg tapper at the Oktoberfest celebrations at Hofbrauhaus.

Carmen Electra's Crazy Horse Paris Debut

*Sexy Carmen Electra kicks off another run guest in Crazy Horse Paris at MGM tonight through Oct. 17. She’s added solo dances to the beautiful striptease cabaret production -- as if we needed an excuse to reprise the photos of her last visit here. Click HERE and HERE for our previous coverage, which includes a photo gallery of 64(!) shots.

*I chatted last night at The Venetian with the glamorous Vanessa Minnillo, who told me that she and Face of Vegas co-hosts Carson Kressley and Beth Ostrosky, Howard Stern’s wife, will this weekend wrap their ABC reality show set for January broadcast. I tried to apologize to Vanessa for unintentionally kicking up a controversy about a diamond ring on her finger when she attended a recent charity event at the Palazzo. I’d written very innocently that one day, she hoped to have one of her own! That harmless item was tied to the fact that she and beau Nick Lachey were going through a little off-on-and-off again with their romance.

Regrettably, Hollywood bloggers and Internet gossip sites seized on my exclusive and twisted it into a series of attacks on the couple. Totally unfair and out of all truth and context! I knew Vanessa was hurt by what they’d all said as a result of what I’d written. I had to apologize. She accepted and said: “It wasn’t your fault or your doing. You wrote nice things, and they twisted it. It makes you worried about what you can say today without things being twisted so far from the truth.”

Vanessa was sweet and gracious and could not have been nicer about the situation. I’m happy for her that she and Nick are back together and that the ring incident hasn’t marred their affection and future. The couple has been inseparable the past few weekends hanging out at the Palazzo while she’s here filming. I’m not going to say anymore in case it gets twisted yet again!

Actor Chazz Palminteri has enjoyed the Italian specialties at Lavo in the Palazzo numerous times the past few weeks -- in fact, twice this week already. So no surprise his opening night party after premiering A Bronx Tale would be held there, too! (Click HERE for our story and photo gallery posted this morning.) In addition to drinking tea with honey to sooth his pipes after commanding the stage nonstop for 85 minutes, Chazz selected chicken Marsala as his late-night snack. He chatted with former New Yorker Matt Johnson, who owns Sushi Samba at the Palazzo and its sister locations in New York, Chicago and Miami. Turns out that during his lean days, Chazz had worked as a doorman-bouncer at Manhattan’s infamous Limelight Club, where Matt worked, too! Another interesting note from last night’s premiere is that poker player Phil Ivey, who has won seven WSOP bracelets in making the final table a record eight times, is one of A Bronx Tale’s associate producers. DJ Tiesto also was in the nightclub after the premiere party turned into the weekly Label Junkie party.
