Are Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush back together?

At first it looked as if the long romance between reality TV star Kim Kardashian and New Orleans Saints player Reggie Bush would wind up in an engagement ring and subsequent marriage.

There were a couple of on-and-off-again hiccups -- and then shock and surprise when Kim confirmed to me that “it was over” at her recent Las Vegas visit for the opening of Pink’s Hot Dogs at Planet Hollywood.

Then Kim’s stepdad Bruce Jenner told me a few days later at the grand opening of Emeril Lagasse’s Lagasse Stadium in the Palazzo “not so fast.” He said: “I think you’ll actually see them back together.”

Sure enough, Reggie and Kim were back together at the “wedding” of sister Khloe and L.A. Lakers star Lamar Odom, but was that -- the nuptials and the reunion! -- all just for the reality TV show cameras?

Kim and Reggie haven’t been spotted together since, but word is that they are reunited for good. We’ll see tonight when the entire Kardashian clan, plus all the reality show TV cameras, is at Tao in The Venetian for Kim’s 29th birthday, which is officially next Wednesday.

“I can’t believe I’m almost 30. It’s a little bit strange knowing you’re 29. It all goes by so fast, and I’ll be out of my 20s in another year and into my 30s,” she said.

If I get through my appearance at the Celebrity Tarot Lounge in Town Square in time, I’ll hop over and ask her the important question: Can Reggie and she make it work this time? Kim blamed conflicting schedules and too much time apart in the break-up. Maybe they’re working less and playing more this time around?
