Strip Scribbles: It’s my comedy debut in Celebrity Tarot Lounge

By Robin Leach

I really don’t have a clue about what I will be doing when I receive a tarot card reading tonight at 7 at the Celebrity Tarot Lounge in Town Square’s Stage Door theater. Our Rio headliner Penn Jillette’s wife Emily invited me to take part in her production of Matt Donnelly’s standup improv comedy.

Apparently I will pick a card -- just hope it isn’t the devil or doom -- and then Matt’s comedy troupe ad libs and improvises a reading of what lies ahead for me. I’ll have to sharpen my wits because you know I won’t just sit there and take any vicious, venomous barbs, unless it’s all good-natured! I think Adam Savage from Mythbusters is in on the fun, too.

It’s a hilarious, 100-minute show, and afterward at 10 p.m., Mirage ventriloquist Terry Fator will be put in the hot seat. It should all be a night of great laughs and hilarity. Come on down and join us! For tickets and more information, go to TarotLounge.com. Incidentally, as you can see in our Terry Fator story posted today on Vegas DeLuxe, he’s taking off afterward to Seattle to perform the national anthem at the Seahawks-Cardinals game.

*She’s one of the most-followed personalities on Twitter. Regarded as Twitter’s travel expert, she’s got industry heavy-hitters, nightclub revelers and fans gathered to meet, mingle and party.

*He’s being billed as the hottest crooner in Las Vegas since Elvis Presley, and on Monday and Tuesday night next week, he’ll prove it with two special concerts at The Orleans showroom. Perry Danos has a unique vocal versatility that combines the smoothness of Tony Bennett with the grit of Rod Stewart and a touch of Bobby Darin, but all in his own style. To introduce him to Las Vegas audiences, his one-man show is free and a promotion of his debut Christmas CD. Go to PerryDanos.com for more information. He promises classics, show tunes, pop and jazz standards!

*Vince Neil and his wife, Lia, joined Zowie Bowie’s Chris Phillips and Marley Taylor at Chazz Palminteri’s A Bronx Tale at The Venetian and then invited the Italian actor to dinner afterward at Lavo. They ordered chicken Parmigiana and Marsala with tomato and basil pastas. As Vince headed home with his friends, Chazz took off to join comedian Pauly Shore at the first Toga Party & Beer Garden at Tao. Pauly wore a toga, but Chazz stayed in his smart jacket and slacks.

Travis Cloer of Jersey Boys sings "America the Beautiful."

*My pal Travis Cloer of Jersey Boys finally gets to make his long-awaited appearance with Zowie Bowie at their Vintage Vegas show in the Monte Carlo. It’s double duty for Travis because he also will join cast members of his show, The Lion King and Phantom -- the Las Vegas Spectacular for a benefit concert at The Liberace Museum in the afternoon. It’s all to raise money to pay for medical care of young actress Lindsay Thomas, who is in the Jersey Boys Toronto cast and battling Stage 4 lung cancer.
