It’s been a big week for the good folks at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. Founder Larry Ruvo played host to former Mexican President Vicente Fox Quesada and his wife Marta Sahagun Fox on a private tour.

World-renowned architect Frank Gehry designed the center, which aims to prevent the disabling symptoms of chronic brain diseases and prolong healthy and vital aging in people at risk for dementia or cognitive disorders. El Presidente was impressed with the patient care and also the unique architectural designs.

Then TV personality Jerry Springer, with his cast from America’s Got Talent Live, hosted a benefit at the Planet Hollywood production. Planet Hollywood CEO Robert Earl generously turned over all the box office proceeds to the center. Hundreds of Las Vegas VIPs turned out to support the event and check out the talents of $1 million country singer winner Kevin Skinner and runner-up opera singer Barbara Padilla among the other AGT finalists.

AGT Keep Memory Alive Benefit

Now the Strip House at Planet Hollywood has teamed up with Jerry and AGT for a special dinner-show package. For $55, a guest receives a ticket to the show and a dinner featuring some of Strip House’s signature menu items, including lobster bisque cappuccino, a 6-ounce filet mignon with black truffle creamed spinach and whipped potatoes, crispy organic chicken and sauteed Atlantic salmon with green beans, arugula and lemon-caper vinaigrette. Chocolate creme brulee and Strip House’s lemon-scented cheesecake are the irresistible dessert options. The meal is a pre-theater show package available from 5 to 6:30 p.m. AGT plays Wednesdays through Sundays through Dec. 13.

Incidentally, Jerry hosts a Dysfunctional Halloween party and spine-chilling costume contest just before midnight on Oct. 31 at Hawaiian Tropic Zone in Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile, which will be transformed into a haunted haven for the spooktacular soiree.
