Photo Gallery: Treatments, tips for Miss Nevada USA 2010 hopefuls

Fifteen lovely Nevada ladies will compete in a head-to-head battle Nov. 7, and one of them will be crowned Miss Nevada USA 2010. The winner will join 50 other pageant queens in Donald Trump’s Miss USA Pageant next spring here at Planet Hollywood.

The Nevada competitors all met for the first time when Miss Nevada USA 2009 Georgina Vaughan hosted a mentoring party at Michael Boychuck’s Amp Salon in the Palms. “We called it the Amp It Up party,” said Georgina, “as it was the first time they were getting hair, makeup and mentoring about the upcoming pageants.”

Georgina interviewed each candidate as to why she thought she should be the one to take over the crown. Here’s Georgina’s report for Vegas DeLuxe:

“It was a blast to meet the girls who want to take over my title. The salon was filled with nervousness and excitement. It was surreal for me because just about a year ago, I was in their shoes. I had no idea that I was about to be taken on this amazing adventure of a year where I had the absolute time of my life. Here I was standing giving a speech to all the girls thinking to myself, ‘Wow, this flew by!’

“As I interviewed each one, it was really interesting to see them open up as the amazing team of stylists and Michael Boychuck himself got them all ready for their first photo shoot. It only lasted three hours, but these girls got a hint of the glamorous life that might lie ahead, and I am pretty sure none of them now will ever want to look back. After meeting them personally, I know we will have a great titleholder for our state of Nevada as of Nov. 7.”
