Fame star Asher Book celebrated his 21st birthday at Hawaiian Tropic Zone inside Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile, and it was an all-male celebration. Asher partied with a group of six male friends, ordering three bottles of Grey Goose and one bottle of Dom Perignon on his first night of legal age for drinking in Las Vegas.

Each finalist and one guest will be provided with round-trip transportation to and from Las Vegas for the final competition and hotel accommodations and dinner at Company Kitchen & Pub House at the Luxor.
*On yesterday’s Good Morning America, comedienne Whoopi Goldberg enlisted the help of our favorite Cajun chef here in Las Vegas to show her how to throw a dinner party. Emeril Lagasse, who has three outposts at The Venetian and Palazzo, took the dinner dare to help shine the spotlight on Whoopi’s support of the Come Together Campaign for Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity.
*Before jetting to Donald Trump’s magnificent Mar-A-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla., actor Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller ordered sweets, candies and giant couture lollipops from Sugar Factory at The Mirage. It was for Brooke’s younger sister Sydney’s birthday party, which was attended by Ramona Singer of The Real Housewives of New York. Charlie shipped confections for all the guests to leave with custom gift bags of the goodies.
*The search for the ultimate Vinny spokesman for New York-New York kicked off with a Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog eating contest and a one-hour Muscular Dystrophy Association boot drive. Vinny Red and Vinny Blue raised $535 with the help of the Clark County Fire Department. Vinny Blue won the competition, raising $298, while Vinny Red raised $237. The Vinnies used their New York swagger, over-the-top charisma and charm to get people to donate. Vinny Blue has taken the lead by winning the hot dog eating contest and the MDA boot drive, but more contests are ahead before the winner is declared. The winning Vinny will become the ultimate host and advertising spokesman to tell guests where to go, what to do, what’s hot and what’s not, in that honest, no-apologies New York way.
Meantime, this coming Saturday, you can assist our firefighters by supporting them in a contest. The Stratosphere and the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation have partnered to hold the Firefighter’s Tower Run at the property. Some 100 firefighters from our four district fire departments will tackle the 108-floor, 1,455-step tower in a competition to raise money to assist sick and injured children resulting from fires. The first runner is off at 9 a.m. I don’t think they will be in uniform and carrying heavy apparatus, though!
Actor, director and producer Laurence Fishburne and actor George Eads were relaxing at The Playboy Club inside the Palms after shooting scenes for CSI downtown at the Fremont Street Experience. After sipping mixed drinks at a VIP table, they wound up at a reserved blackjack table. Spy witnesses reported that Laurence cheered George on when he ran around metal barriers set up for filming to give high-fives to fans watching the shoot. … Bette Midler had a great turnout of VIPs at her The Showgirl Must Go On at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace. In separate parties were fashion designer Betsey Johnson, actress Doris Roberts and Supreme Court Judge John Paul Stevens, the longest-sitting justice on the High Court (since 1975!). I have no idea how he ruled when it came to a verdict on the saucy spectacular!
If you’re not staying home to watch the Top Chef: Las Vegas exit of another kitchen king or queen, then head to RM Seafood in Mandalay Bay. That’s because TCLV guest judge Rick Moonen will host a viewing party there while you devour his amazing dinners, and afterward, you can grill him on all the behind-the-scenes secrets. … Over at the Riviera, it’s the outrageous comedy of Andrew Dice Clay. The Diceman is in fine form shocking and offending any and all with his hilariously savage humor.
Halloween is off to an early start with Alice Cooper’s surprise mini-concert in the John Varvatos Bowery NYC store in the Hard Rock Hotel, while lovely LeAnn Rimes kicks off a country music weekend at Treasure Island.
