Halloween: Wild, wicked, wanton, debauched and decadent
By Robin Leach

It’s the most decadent day of the year, as Las Vegas nightlife goes into sexual overdrive to ensure that Halloween is celebrated here like no other place on Earth. Forget New York, Miami and Hollywood: Las Vegas is No. 1. The erotic emphasis is on over-the-top outrageous as provocative partygoers plot their crazed costumes to win big bucks.
There’ll be mayhem and madness as the Halloween holiday triggers a wild, wicked and wanton four-day weekend of wildness. Ghouls, goblins, skeletons and spooks will be out in full fright-night force, and at every event of our only-in-Las-Vegas- Halloween hell-ebration, there will be outlandish outfits and fragile, flimsy fashions.
There are haunted houses and Halloween happenings wherever you turn. Even sinister sharks raise the terror level at the now Haunted Reef at Mandalay Bay, and the Oktober Fright Fest with the death-defying illusions of Jan Rouven continue downtown on Fremont Street. Circus Circus has its Saw-themed haunted houses, but my favorite is the scariest of them all: the Zombie Precinct along the Brooklyn Bridge at New York-New York.
“Several trends are already leading the way as costume favorites this year,” said Heather Siegel, owner of Las Vegas-based HalloweenMart, a retail complex and leading online retailer of Halloween costumes. “Pop culture icons and Hollywood have had a big impact on Halloween costumes this year.” The Top Five trends are vampires (Twilight, True Blood and Vampire Diaries), Michael Jackson, reality TV stars (Hugh Hefner and twin girlfriends Karissa and Kristina Shannon), zombies and Hollywood outfits (Bollywood a la Slumdog Millionaire, Pussycat Dolls and Spice Girls).
To help you plan the next four days of incredible insanity amid horrific happenings, here’s the full ROYAL ROBIN RUNDOWN of the debauchery and decadence:
Thursday, Oct. 29
*Eighties pop star Deborah Gibson throws a Halloweighties party at Tao in The Venetian, and she wants everybody to come in 1980s attire.
*The Haunted House edition of Soundbar at Ghostbar in the Palms celebrates Keith Evans’ birthday.
*Tryst’s annual Halloween party in the Wynn is themed as the Seven Sexy Sins, with showman Jeff Beacher as host, handing out $25,000 in cash and prizes for three costume categories.
Friday, Oct. 30
*Hell-raising Rob Zombie performs with Nek-Romantix and Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures from Halloween 2 at The Pearl in the Palms.
*Vanilla Ice will revel with clubgoers at Studio 54 in MGM, which has been transformed into the Nightmare on 54th Street.
*Saw VI is celebrated with a bloodstained bash at Tao’s third Halloween horror show.
*DJ Scooter is providing pre-Halloween horror and hooplas at Prive in Planet Hollywood.
*Three days of Halloween Experiments kick off the grand opening of Lollypop’s near Town Square. Daytime events run from noon to 6 p.m., with 30 local bands and deejays and hayrides. From 7 p.m. until 7 a.m., it’s an adults-only playground of an erotic haunted house, naughty hayrides and a $5,000 costume party prize.
*Steel Panther throws a Slumber Party Massacre at Ovation in Green Valley Ranch.
*American Storm Stripper 101 hosts the divinity and damnation Bordello Ball at Cathouse in the Luxor.
*America’s No. 1 DJ Z-Trip throws his Uneasy Halloween party in his new residency at Rain in the Palms.
*The KISS Army tribute band plays for two Halloween nightmares at the new Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip.
Saturday, Oct. 31
*Some $110,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs at Rain, Moon, Ghostbar and The Playboy Club, all in the Palms. Sexy, scary, sci-fi and shocking costumes, undead outfits and Playboy-inspired costumes are welcome to compete at all four venues.
*Peepshow princess Holly Madison becomes the mischievous mistress of ceremonies in joining the Studio 54 seductresses at MGM. The blonde bombshell and Playboy party queen will be the chief judge of all the erotic ensembles and hand out $10,000 in cash and prizes as the night becomes Hollyween.
*It’s the Night of the Living Dead at Diablo’s Cantina at the Monte Carlo, and Deadly Seven are shockingly savage normally, so this night takes on added terror tauntings.
*Twilight stars Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz host the Veuve Clicquot champagne-fueled Yelloween party at Tao.
*True Blood stars Rutina Wesley and Sam Trammell host the blood-curdling bash at Lavo in the Palazzo.
*Talk show titan Jerry Springer, current host of America’s Got Talent Live at Planet Hollywood, oversees the Dysfunctional Halloween horror show of spine-chilling costumes at Hawaiian Tropic Zone in Planet’s Miracle Mile.
Magician Jan Rouven is impaled on the Drill of Death.
*Hotel heiress, designer and socialite Nicky Hilton celebrates Halloween and uses her fashion eye to judge the costume contest and hand out $10,000 in prizes at Pure in Caesars Palace.
*Model actress AnnaLynne McCord of 90210 celebrates the 21st birthday of younger sister Rachel McCord, and together they throw the Tabu Ultra Lounge Halloween costume party in MGM.
*Corey Haim hosts the Carnal Carnival at The Rio’s Voodoo Lounge, and the Voodoo Dolls will be in full body paint for the night.
*The giant Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball is at the Hard Rock Hotel with Girls in Rubber and the Men of Playgirl, plus an Incendiary Circus and Scandalesque Show with Daredevil Divas and Vampire Vixens. The Travel Channel dubbed this extravaganza “one of the top events in the world.”
*The Sinners Ball with the Sin City Sinners takes over Ovation at Green Valley Ranch, while the Drop Dead Bar’s Thriller party features a Michael Jackson tribute.
*Steel Panther hosts Hell-O-Ween with a Firepit of Hell in Access Showroom at Aliante.
*The Halloween Mob launches Capo’s Italian Steakhouse on Tropicana, an ultimate speakeasy with hidden entry door and other 1920s dangerous delights.
*Knockout British porn princess Nikki Jayne is the electrifying hot hostess at the Halloween Pornstars Ball at Prive.
Sunday, Nov. 1
*Drai’s hosts its Roaring ’20s Halloween party at Bill’s Gambling Hall with a theme that takes everybody back to Prohibition.
*In Mexico, it’s El Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), and believe it or not, there are parties to recover from Halloween hangovers. The mayhem moves onward for the ancient Mexican holiday at T&T in the Luxor and at Dos Caminos in the Palazzo. The music and mariachis are enough to wake the dead, and the killer brunch with hot spices should immediately end all memories of hellish hangovers!
We’ll have our photo reports of all the wild madness on Monday, with our team of contributing photographers at all the platinum and provocative parties.
